Cement export business

Our company has been exporting cement for more than 70 years.
We believe the reason for our success in this field is thatcustomers in various countries are well aware of the fact that our company supplies high-quality cement. This has been done on a very stable basis and
top priority has been given to customer satisfaction.
Cement exported mainly from Kochi Plant to countries where cement is needed both in quantity and quality and plays an important role in community development.

Holcim Philippines

In 1994, we took an equity stake in Davao Union Cement Corporation (DUCC), which had one cement plant in Davao City, Philippines.
Later, DUCC was acquired by Holcim in 2002, and the company changed its name to Holcim Philippines (HPI).
HPI is now the country's largest cement manufacturer with four integrated cement plants and is also a member of the LafargeHolcim Group, one of the world's leading cement manufacturers.
Despite changes in shareholders, we maintain strong business relationships with HPI.

Yunnan JV

In 2007, we invested in Yunnan Kungang & K. Wah Cement Construction Materials (Yunnan JV) in collaboration with our Hong Kong based business partner K. Wah Construction Materials Limited.
In the early stages of investment, it had only one cement plant in Yunnan, China and its annual cement production capacity was 2.6 million tons.
Then, with the rapid economic growth of Yunnan Province, which the government supports, we have built more cement factories to five ones.
Current production capacity at the end of 2016 reached over 10 million tons.
Along with the development of its business, we have dispatched many engineers to support their local technical team and they have contributed to efficient and competitive operation.
